Chelsea Loanee Omeruo Makes Second Debut For Kasımpasa Against Galatasaray
Published: September 17, 2017
The Nigeria international has returned for a second loan spell at Kasımpaşa S.K after first joining the Istanbul club in the 2015-2016 season on loan from Premier League champions Chelsea.
Having made the 18 in Kasımpaşa's first game after the international break against Azubuike Okechukwu's Yeni Malatyaspor, Omeruo came off the bench in the 67th minute in the match day five tie against Galatasaray.
Omeruo was blamed for the second goal conceded by Kasımpaşa after he failed to track the run of Bafétimbi Gomis, who fired past goalkeeper Köse from inside the box in the 79th minute.
The central defender and his intermediary had been working on his permanent exit from Chelsea in the summer transfer window, but interested clubs were unwilling to meet The Blues' asking price.
Former Dolphins striker Emem Eduok got a role in the starting line-up against Galatasaray, and subbed out 12 minutes before the introduction of Omeruo.
