Elsewhere, Patrick Friday Eze watched proceedings from the bench in Konyaspor's 2-0 loss at Besiktas in the Turkish Super Lig. Nigeria U23 international Imoh Ezekiel didn't make Konyaspor's 18.

Both Fegor Ogude and Brian Idowu (suspended) were not involved in Amkar Perm's impressive 1-0 win over Lokomotiv Moscow on game week ten in the Russian Premier League.

The Nigeria international midfielder is close to returning to the first team after an injury absence.

Still in Russia, Sylvester Igboun and Kehinde Fatai were strike partners in Ufa's 3-0 loss to Zenit St Petersburg. Igbour received a caution in the 91st minute, Fatai subbed out after 72 minutes.
