Details Of Chelsea Final Training Session : Zappacosta Starts Ahead Of Moses Vs Forest
Published: September 20, 2017
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte will heavily rotate his squad for Wednesday night's League Cup tie against Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge as the Premier League champions have a busy schedule with four games in ten days before the second international break of the 2017-2018 campaign.
Based on Chelsea's last training session on Tuesday, everything indicates that Italy international Davide Zappacosta has gotten the nod from Conte to replace Moses in the starting line-up against The Reds.
For the final training match, Conte divided fourteen players into two groups, with Caballero, Rudiger, Ampadu, Sterling, Kenedy, Musonda and Hazard wearing bibs.
The non-bib wearing team contained Eduardo, Christensen, Clarke-Salter, Zappacosta, Bakayoko, Batshuayi and first team fitness coach Chris Jones.
Chelsea youth team expert CarefreeYouth who watched the training session informed allnigeriasoccer.com : '' Moses trained as usual with the squad but all the starters from the game against Arsenal went inside after training and the players (mentioned) stayed and had a small game, they didn't start against Arsenal.
''It is extremely likely Zappacosta will start. Moses will be rested with three games in eight days starting Saturday.
''Conte will want him fresh for the Stoke, Atlético Madrid and Man City games, so best time to give him a rest.''
Victor Moses has started Chelsea's last four matches in the Premier League and was a non-playing substitute against Qarabag in the Champions League last week.
