Rohr Receives Good News As Iwobi Starts For Arsenal Vs Brighton
Published: October 01, 2017
Alex Iwobi has received the all-clear from Arsenal medics to report for international duty on Monday, October 2, with manager Arsene Wenger naming the winger in his starting line-up for Sunday afternoon's Premier League tie against Brighton & Hove at the Emirates Stadium.
For the past six days, speculation had been rife that the Hale End Academy product would not feature against Zambia after suffering an injury which saw him miss games against West Brom and BATE Borisov in the Europa League.
Iwobi will play behind the club's record signing Alexandre Lacazette in attack against the Seagulls.
This is the second game in the current campaign that the 21-year-old has been included in the starting XI, as he was named among the substitutes in matches against Leicester City, Stoke City and Bournemouth, while he didn't make the squad versus Liverpool due to injury.
Meanwhile, former England U21 international Chuba Akpom, who trained with the Gunners first-team on Saturday, has been omitted from the match day squad.
