Arsenal Lining Up January Move For Nigerian Winger Valued At N7.1 Billion
Published: October 08, 2017
Arsenal are interested in signing England youth-teamer of Nigerian descent Ademola Lookman when the transfer window reopens for business, as per reports.
The Sun says Wenger’s spies have been tipped off that Lookman could be tempted out of Goodison Park and back to London.
The former Charlton Athletic wonderkid, who is being courted by the Nigerian Federation to represent the Super Eagles, has fallen down Ronald Koeman's pecking order of strikers at Everton and has no appearance to his name in the Premier League so far this season.
Arsenal are scouring Europe in their search for a winger, with the likely departures of Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott, and want to boost their homegrown quota by signing Lookman.
If the Gunners were to sign Lookman, it is thought he would cost in the region of 15 million pounds ( N7.1 billion).
The 19-year-old, a member of England's U20 World Cup-winning squad, is contracted to Everton until June 30, 2021.
