Moses, Iwobi Face Anxious Wait Over Ballon d'Or Nomination
Published: October 09, 2017
No Nigerian star has been considered yet for the prestigious Ballon d'Or 2017 after France Football announced fifteen of the thirty nominees on Monday, October 9.
Victor Moses and Alex Iwobi were two of Nigeria's most outstanding players in 2017, and will have to wait until 1815 hours to discover if they made the 30-man shortlist, with the French football magazine announcing half of the contenders as at the time of this report.
Moses was converted into a right wing-back by manager Antonio Conte last season and helped Chelsea to win the Premier League title and qualify for the final of the Emirates FA Cup.
