Chelsea Loanees, Kalu, Ighalo, Mikel, Uzoho Named To Nigerian Team Of The WeekTeam of the Week : Allnigeriasoccer.com runs the rule on the Nigerian players that impressed the most in the leagues this past weekend.

Goalkeeper

Francis Uzoho (Deportivo La Coruna): Ex-Golden Eaglets reserve goaltender, Francis Uzoho made an impressive Spanish La Liga debut for Deportivo La Coruna in their stalemate against Eibar.

He was fairly untested in the encounter though he was alert to claim few stray balls whenever he was called upon.

His handling of the ball and distribution from the back was equally top-drawer.

Defenders

Ola Aina (Hull City) : The 21-year-old and his Hull side were denied consecutive league wins by Nelson Oliveira who struck in the added minutes of added time to cancel out Nouha Dicko's effort in a pulsating encounter.

Aina made a couple of challenges and was a physical presence to thwart the forays of an adventurous Norwich throughout the game.

Uche Agbo (Standard Liege) : Uche Agbo was on parade for his Standard Liege in their 3-1 comeback win over KV Kortrijk in the Belgian First Divison A.

The Super Eagles defender was adept in his defensive duties and even set up Orlando Sá for his side's third.

Chidozie Awaziem (Nantes) :  The on-loan Porto defender put in a full shift at the heart of the rearguard to earn his side a point in a high-tempered Ligue 1 game.

Prejuce Nakoulma had put Nantes in front before Malcom struck to peg back The Canaries with both defenses
seemingly very alert to nullify further opposing attacks.

Tyronne Ebuehi (Ado Den Haag) : Ebuehi went the full ninety as Ado Den Hagg fell to a 1-2 loss to Excelsior in the Holland Eredivisie.

Thoroughly efficient with his interceptions and tackles, his consummate input ensured the scoreline was kept respectable and De Ooievaars might have to be facing a rout, but for him.

Midfielders

John Ogu (Hapoel Be'er Sheva) :The Nigerian midfielder continues to bolster his burgeoning reputation for club and country with a fine display to put Hapoel Raanana to the sword in the Israeli Premier League.

The 29-year-old rounded off a wonderful outing with a goal to boot as his outfit continue to chase Europa League qualification.

Mikel John Obi (Tianjin Teda): The Super Eagles skipper was influential for the Tianjin Tigers as they recorded an impressive 2-1 win over Shanghai Shenhua in the Chinese Super League.

He was, however, booked for a foul in the 73rd minute of the game.

Samuel Kalu (Gent) : In the Belgian top-flight,Kalu came off the bench to secure a vital 2-0 win for The Buffaloes against Waasland-Beveren with a brace.

Countrymen, Anderson Esiti and Moses Simon were on for the entire duration of the game, and the latter weighed in with an assist for Kalu's second goal.

Viv Solomon-Otabor (Blackpool) : Solomon Otabor got himself on the scoresheet in a 1-1 draw against Walsall to further warm the heart of his manager.

The ex-U23 invitee pulled his team level with a scintillating strike in the League One encounter just two minutes
after he was thrown into the fray.

Strikers

Odion Ighalo (Changchun Yatai) : The Super Eagles forward continued his fine goal scoring run with another brace as Changchun cruised past Guangzhou R&F in the CSL. He now has 14 goals to show for his efforts this season.

Tammy Abraham (Swansea) : Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham improved his rich vein of goal scoring exploits in the English top-flight, notching twice for Swansea in a 2-0 win against league newcomers Huddersfield.
