United States Confident Of Beating Nigeria To Real Madrid, Arsenal Target OmidijiThe United States Soccer Federation remain confident that will beat their Nigerian counterparts to the services of Feyenoord wonderkid Lateef Omidiji Jnr.

Born in Las Vegas, America, Omidiji also qualifies to represent Nigeria through his parents and has yet to confirm the national team he will represent ahead of the 2019 Fifa U17 World Cup.

''Nigeria and America have a great talent in their hands and he remains a player we are keenly monitoring,'' a top source told allnigeriasoccer.com.

''We know that in 2019 at the next U17 World Cup, he will likely feature from what we understand USA U17s so we hope to capture him before the World Cup.''

Whilst the United States have made the first move to cap Omidiji by inviting him to an U14 Boys’ National Team get-together in November 2016, his sister Sophia Omidiji, also eligible for USA, might play a key role in deciding the national team he turns out for as she is a member of Nigeria's U20 setup.

The 14-year-old Omidiji, who is on the radar of Real Madrid and Arsenal, is expected to confirm where his future lies before May 2018.
