Two Strikers, Who Scored Four Goals Against Nigeria At AFCON, To Coach AlgeriaThe Algerian Federation are set to announce the appointment of Desert Foxes legend Rabah Madjer as the new coach of the national team in the coming days, according to reports.

Le Buteur says the official appointment of Madjer as head of the Greens should be made if everything goes well this Thursday at a press conference.

The 1987 African Footballer of the Year will be assisted by Meziane Ighil and former national team colleague Djamel Menad.

Menad and Madjer scored four goals between them as Algeria beat Nigeria 5-1 in their opening match of the 1990 African Cup of Nations, with Emmanuel Okocha grabbing a consolation for the Super Eagles.

Ex-Manchester City star
Djamel Belmadi was the early frontrunner to take over from the dismissed Spaniard, Lucas Alcaraz, before the Algerian FA agreed terms with Madjer.

Nigeria will face Algeria in their last 2018 World Cup qualifier on November 10.
