GK Alampasu Speaks On Argentina Friendly, Relationship With Rohr, RomeroYoung CD Feirense netminder Dele Alampasu has shared his thoughts and impressions on the upcoming high-profile international friendly between Nigeria and Argentina in Krasnodar.

The former Flying Eagles and Golden Eaglets star was omitted from the Super Eagles roster against Zambia, but has insisted that he maintains a cordial relationship with manager Gernot Rohr, knowing fully well that his chance will come in future.

''The friendly between Nigeria and Argentina is not a do or die affair. It is to get us prepared for the 2018 World Cup,'' said Alampasu to allnigeriasoccer.com.

''I have a good relationship with the coach (Rohr), I was not in the last game did not mean anything. The most important thing is that the team has qualified for the World Cup, so now we are looking forward to getting ready.

''I always say goalkeeping is just any opportunity so I always wait for mine to come one day.''

Manchester United's Sergio Romero is back-up goalkeeper to Spaniard David de Gea, but he is the undisputed first-choice goalie for the Argentinian national team, having started their last 20 competitive matches.

''I don't really know anything about Romero's qualities, but no matter who is in the goalpost we can't be stopped.  We just have to do the normal things the coach tells us,'' concluded Dele Alampasu.

The 20-year-old Alampasu debuted for the national team as they claimed a 3-0 win over Togo in an international friendly in June 2017.
