Diego Maradona Disappointed With Loss To Nigeria : I Want To Return
Published: November 14, 2017
The greatest Argentina player of all time, Diego Maradona, has expressed his disappointment in the wake of Argentina's 4-2 loss to Nigeria in an international friendly in Krasnodar on Tuesday evening.
Without Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi in the line-up, the South Americans were second best against the Super Eagles despite scoring the first two goals of the contest.
Maradona, who led the Argentinian national team from 2008-2010, has highlighted his abilities as a coach, and uploaded a table proving that his win percentage was better than other Argentina coaches Menotti, Basile, Passarella, Bielsa, Pekerman and Sabella.
Maradona posted on his official Instagram account : ''Who won more? Let's draw our conclusions. I'm hot because they give away our prestige, but the kids are not to blame. I WANT TO RETURN !!! ''
The former Napoli skipper was in the dugout in Nigeria's 1-0 loss to Argentina in a group match at the 2010 World Cup.
Maradona won 75 percent of his 24 games while he was in charge of La Albiceleste.
