Whilst captain John Obi Mikel and Ola Aina started, Kenneth Omeruo was outstanding after coming off the bench in the 60th minute of the contest.

''Ola Aina made his second start for Nigeria and played the first half of the Super Eagles’ notable friendly win against Argentina,'' Chelsea stated on their official website.

''The match was held in Krasnodar at one of the venues for next summer’s World Cup with the final score 4-2 after Argentina squandered a two-goal lead.

''Kenneth Omeruo played the final half-hour and our former midfielder John Mikel Obi was Nigeria’s no.10.''

Another player who has close links to the Stamford Bridge outfit in the shape of Victor Moses would have featured against Argentina if not for a hamstring injury that ruled him out of the match.
