Liverpool Loanee Sheyi Ojo Back With A Bang : Scores Two, Creates One
Published: November 22, 2017
Liverpool loanee Sheyi Ojo produced his best performance to date in a Fulham jersey as they claimed a 5-4 win over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane in the 18th round of matches in the EFL Championship on Tuesday night.
The Blades took the lead in the sixth minute when Leon Clarke finished from close range and Ojo would have equalized a minute later if not for an excellent save from Jamal Blackman.
The England U21 international slotted past the goalkeeper on 28 minutes for his first goal for the Cottagers, and Ryan Sessegnon made it 3-2 in the 43rd minute when he smashed in an inviting cross from Ojo.
Ojo and Sessegnon scored again in the 69th and 78th minute respectively to give the visitors a three-goal advantage.
The 5-2 lead became 5-3 in the 86th minute when Carruthers fired the ball into the bottom right-hand corner, before Leon Clarke netted the final goal of the thriller in the first minute of stoppage time.
Sheyi Ojo was replaced after 74 minutes in his eighth appearance across all competitions for Fulham.
Prior to the meeting with Sheffield United, the 20-year-old had missed the last six matches in the Championship due to a shoulder injury.
