With a statement on their official website, Norwegian Tippeligaen outfit Sarpsborg 08 FF have announced the acquisition of Nigeria international Usman Mohammed.
The Rio 2016 Olympics star has appended his signature to a three-year contract, tying him to Sarpsborg 08 FF until the end of the 2020 season.
Sarpsborg 08 have pulled off a transfer coup with the signing of Mohammed as he was heavily linked with a transfer to Barcelona this summer.
In his first words after inking the deal, Mohammed said : ''I think Sarpsborg 08 is a very good team. They have good players and a very good coach. In addition, everyone is very nice here - a wonderful team.
''It's very good for me to be here. It's a bit colder here than elsewhere in Europe, but I'm getting used to it.
''I like to say I'm a very good midfielder. I have my strengths in both offensive and defensive. I am a ball winner who contributes aggressively. I will do my best for Sarpsborg.''
Usman Mohammed previously represented Ranchers Bees, FC Taraba and Portuguese club União Madeira.
