QPR Captain, Who Wants To Play For Nigeria, Set To Return To Action
Published: December 08, 2017
Queens Park Rangers captain Nedum Onuoha is set to return to action after spending three months on the sidelines due to a hamstring complaint.
The versatile central defender last played for QPR against Millwall on September 12, when he had to be substituted at half-time after he tore his hamstring.
The Hoops have provided a positive update on Onuoha's injury via their official website, stating that he has resumed full training and is in contention to feature against Leeds United on Saturday, December 9.
He has been training with the first-team squad for the past fortnight and came through a 60-minute training game at Harlington on Tuesday unscathed.
Born in Warri to Nigerian parents 31 years ago, Onuoha is now ready to play for his country of birth after declining an offer to represent the Super Eagles at the 2010 World Cup.
The Manchester City product previously represented England at U20 and U21 level.
