Iceland To Announce World Cup Roster 42 Days Before Showdown With Super EaglesNigeria's opponents at the 2018 World Cup, Iceland, will announce their World Cup roster 42 days before they face off with the Super Eagles at the Volgograd Arena, Volgograd.

According to reports in Iceland Icelandic national team coach Heimir Hallgrímsson stated at a press conference on Friday morning that the 23-man roster will be revealed on May 11, 2018.

The Football Association of Iceland have confirmed that they have reached an agreement to play a friendly with an unnamed African team to prepare the national team for the World Cup match against the Super Eagles.

The Icelandic national team will play two friendly games in May and June ahead of the World Cup, with both matches taking place at Laugardalsvellir.

They will face Indonesia in two friendly matches on
11th and 14th of January, 2018 without their professional players based outside Scandinavia since both games are outside Fifa's international match calendar. 

Nigeria lost 3-0 to Iceland in an international friendly on August 22, 1981, the only meeting between the two countries to date.
