Very talented Nigerian winger Xavier Amaechi has spoken of his happiness at signing a new contract with Premier League side Arsenal.
The Gunners confirmed via their official website on Friday that Xavier Amaechi has signed his first professional contract with the club.
Although the duration of the deal signed by Amaechi has not been disclosed, players under the age of 18 cannot sign a professional contract for a term longer than three years.
In his first words as a professional player, Amaechi posted on Twitter : ''Delighted to sign my first professional contract with @arsenal and nice to enjoy this day on my 17th birthday 🎉 the hard work continues⚽️.''
The pacy winger would be hoping to follow in the footsteps of fellow Hale End Academy graduates Chuba Akpom and Alex Iwobi who rose through the ranks before making their first team debuts for Arsenal.
