Nigerian GK Outstanding As Chelsea U18 Winning Run At Home Ends Vs Aston Villa
Published: January 13, 2018
For the first time this season, Chelsea U18s dropped points at home after they were held to a 2-2 draw by Aston Villa in the U18 Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
England youth internationals Faustino Anjorin and Tariq Uwakwe were named in the young Blues starting line-up, and so were goalkeeper Emmanuel Idem and the highly-rated Dutch youth international striker Colin Odutayo for Aston Villa.
Chelsea got off to the best possible start when Anjorin put them in front after only two minutes, Ramsey tapped in the visitors equalizer on the half-hour mark.
Anjorin would have restored Chelsea's lead before the intermission but his shot was saved by Idem.
In the second half, Taylor-Crossdale scored for the home team but Dimitri Sea equalized with 15 minutes left on the clock.
Idem saved efforts from Anjorin and Taylor-Crossdale in the second half, and Uwakwe would have grabbed a late winner but his free kick hit the post.
