Chelsea Midfielder Signed From Barcelona Linked With Transfer To Real Betis
Published: January 17, 2018
Spanish club Real Betis are on the verge of announcing the signing of Ecuadorian-born Chelsea midfielder Josimar Quintero.
Our colleagues at Estadio Deportivo have informed that Quintero would arrive Betis on loan with a purchase option inserted into the deal.
Chelsea loaned out the 20-year-old to Rostov for the entirety of the 2017-2018 season but he had to be recalled to Stamford Bridge because of his lack of playing opportunities at the Russian Premier League team.
The contract of Josimar Quintero with Chelsea is valid until the end of the 2018-19 campaign.
He joined the Blues from Barcelona in the summer of 2014 after resisting the overtures of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
Quintero is eligible to turn out for the national teams of Ecuador and Spain.
