Published: January 19, 2018
American-born Nigerian winger Gboly Ariyibi will spend the remainder of this season at Northampton Town after Nottingham Forest agreed a loan deal with the EFL League One club.
The 23-year-old spent the first half of this season on loan at MK Dons, for whom he scored 7 goals in 28 appearances, before he was recalled by Nottingham Forest.
Northampton Town manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was pleased with the arrival of Ariyibi and told the club's official website: '' He is a player who has impressed me whenever I have seen him.
''He is direct, and offers some really explosive pace and width and he is very good in attacking one against one situations.
"He is the sort of player who can get the supporters out of their seats and he gives us another dimension to our attacking play.''
Ariyibi, who is eligible to represent the national teams of USA, England and Nigeria, is a product of the Southampton Academy.
