Scottish Champions Celtic On Brink Of Deal For Chelsea Playmaker
Published: January 27, 2018
Scottish Premiership champions Celtic are in advanced talks with Chelsea over the signing of Belgium youth international Charly Musonda.
According to the online edition of Daily Mail, Charly Musonda is close to finalizing an 18-month loan deal to join Celtic, and the transfer should be completed early next week.
Bournemouth, Watford, Newcastle United, West Brom, Fiorentina plus Spanish outfit Leganes have been credited with an interest in the 21-year-old playmaker but Celtic have beaten off competition from these teams.
In December, Mussonda extended his contract with Chelsea until June 30, 2022.
This season, he has made seven appearances for the first team of Chelsea, scoring one goal in the League Cup.
He joined Chelsea from Anderlecht in 2012 and spent a portion of last season on loan at Betis.
