Liverpool's New Nigerian Recruit Handed Number 20 Shirt
Published: January 28, 2018
Liverpool Ladies have completed the signing of Nigerian striker Rinsola Babajide.
The Reds did not disclose the duration of the deal and her shirt number but checks by allnigeriasoccer.com reveal that the England U20 international will wear the number 20 shirt for the remainder of this season.
Babajide, who joined Liverpool from Watford Ladies, was not handed her debut as Scott Rogers's side secured a 2-0 win over Bristol City Women in the Women's Super League on Saturday evening.
The 19-year-old attacker played with the number eleven shirt during her time with the Golden Girls.
In a recent appearance for England U20s against the United States, Babajide played with the number 17 kit.
She is expected to be named in the Lionesses squad for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in August 2018.
Babajide has also defended the colours of Millwall Lionesses Ladies and Crystal Palace Ladies.
