Confirmed : Las Palmas, Racing Genk Do Battle Over Signing Of Nigeria Star EteboAllnigeriasoccer.com understands that Belgian First Division A side Racing Genk are battling their Spanish counterparts Las Palmas over the signing of Oghenekaro Etebo.

Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws first reported that Genk are hoping to complete the signing of the Nigeria international before the close of the January transfer window.

This website has gathered that C.D. Feirense are studying an offer that was faxed by Genk on Sunday but an agreement is far from being reached.

There is a four-year deal on the table waiting for Etebo to append his signature to if there's no breakdown in talks.

Ahead of the 2018 World Cup, C.D. Feirense higher-ups are only interested in negotiating a loan deal with an interested club at this stage.

And that has put Las Palmas in pole position for the services of Etebo, the Spanish club have offered him 'crazy wages' to join the club on loan until the end of the 2017-2018 season.

The 22-year-old's performance on the pitch in the first half of the season was impressive, having scored 4 goals in 17 matches in the Primeira Liga.
