Official: Liverpool Loan Out Ovie Ejaria To Sunderland
Published: January 31, 2018
Nigeria Football Federation target Ovie Ejaria has joined Championship side Sunderland on loan for the remainder of the season from Liverpool.
The 20-year old midfielder has yet to make any appearance for the Reds first-team this campaign and had to seek pastures anew where he will be offered first-team football.
Chris Coleman’s Sunderland would be hoping Ejaria can aid the struggling side as they bid to avoid the drop and the talented player would surely provide the much needed finesse.
Since joining Liverpool from Arsenal in 2014, Ejaria has eight senior appearances for the club, all coming during the course of last season.
At Sunderland, he would team up with fellow compatriots, Joshua Maja and Joel Asoro and could be registered in time to make his debut against Ipswich Town on Saturday.
Ejaria trained with the Golden Eaglets in 2013 ahead of the Fifa U17 World Cup.
