Confirmed: Landskrona BoIS Trials For Former Nigeria U23 Captain
Published: February 02, 2018
Allnigeriasoccer.com can confirm that former Nigeria U23 skipper Erhun Obanor will undergo trials at Swedish Superettan club Landskrona BoIS.
Swedish newspaper Helsingborgs Dagblad writes on its website that Landskrona BoIS are hoping to strengthen their defense with the signing of Obanor, but the player has to pass the necessary tests.
This website understands that Landskrona BoIS insisted on observing the player at close quarters because he has been inactive for Greuther Fürth since he joined the club in the summer of 2016.
Manager Agim Sopi will run the rule over Obanor when his side face Lunds BK in their first pre-season game on Saturday, February 3.
The 22-year-old is contracted to Greuther Fürth until June 30, 2019, with the 2 Bundesliga club retaining a two-year option on the central defender.
A product of BJ Foundation, he wore the jerseys of Bendel Insurance, Abia Warriors and Mountain of Fire FC in his homeland before switching to Greuther Fürth.
