Alarm For Gernot Rohr As Super Eagles Defender Falls Ill
Published: February 09, 2018
ADO Den Haag defender Tyronne Ebuehi is a big doubt to add to his appearances in the Eredivisie this season when his team visit Groningen on Sunday.
Dutch media outlet Omroepwest is reporting that the Nigeria international did not show up for training on Friday and his availability for the match at Noordlease Stadion is questionable.
The 22-year-old went the distance as ADO Den Haag claimed a 1-0 win over Vitesse in the league on Thursday evening.
Despite speculation over his future at the Hague based club, the transfer window closed for business and he remained a player of ADO Den Haag.
Having said that, the right-back has rejected overtures from the higher-ups at ADO Den Haag to extend his contract and will head to Benfica as a free agent with effect from July 1.
Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr has Ebuehi in his World Cup plans thanks to his impressive performance in the 4-2 win over Argentina last November.
The defender has started all but one of the matches contested by ADO Den Haag in the Eredivisie, missing the game vs Groningen in December due to an indirect card suspension.
