Las Palmas To Activate One-Year Option To Extend Imoh Ezekiel Contract If....Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that La Liga club Las Palmas will take up the option the extend the contract of Nigeria international Imoh Ezekiel by a year if they beat the drop.

The Canary Islands-based team announced the signing of the 2016 Olympics bronze medalist on a deal running until June 30, 2019 without including the clause that was inserted into his contract.

Ezekiel's contract with Las Palmas will be automatically terminated if they are relegated from the Spanish top division at the end of the season.

Representatives of the former Standard Liege star had asked Las Palmas for a salary of 500,000 euros per season at the start of negotiations before he traveled to Spain last week for the final round of talks.

Ezekiel was officially presented to the fans and media on Saturday, February 10.

The 24-year-old, who numbers Al-Arabi, Anderlecht and Konyaspor among his former clubs, is in line to make his competitive debut for his new employer against Sevilla next weekend.
