Chelsea's Moses Being Readied For Individual Battle Against Barcelona Star Iniesta
Published: February 17, 2018
By all indications, Super Eagles only representative left in the Champions League, Victor Moses, will figure for Chelsea when they take on Barcelona at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, February 20.
The right wing-back was presumably rested as Chelsea saw off Hull City to advance to the sixth round of the Emirates FA Cup last night, with manager Antonio Conte opting to start his main rival Davide Zappacosta.
Moses has a battle on his hands if he starts against Barcelona as expected; either Philippe Coutinho or Andres Iniesta will play on the left wing and the Nigerian faces a daunting task to nullify the threat.
Iniesta has played as a left winger/midfielder in seven of his last eight games for Barcelona, and expected to get the nod from coach Ernesto Valverde to start in that position against the Blues.
However, Moses passed with flying colours when he faced Atlético Madrid pair Koke and Yannick Carrasco in the group stage of the Champions League.
The former Crystal Palace man has played 12 games in European competitions, scoring five goals.
