Chinedu Obasi Dismisses Rumors He Is Set To Join Djurgården
Published: February 17, 2018
Nigeria international Chinedu Obasi has dismissed rumours linking him with a move to Swedish Allsvenskan side Djurgården, and has explained why he can't join another Stockholm-based club.
The striker was directly involved in 17 goals ( 12 goals, 5 assists) in two different spells with AIK, and is on the lookout for a new employer after choosing not to extend his stay at the end of the 2017 campaign.
''I have so much respect for this club @aik and so much love for the fans.so please don’t believe what ever rumors you hear about me going to any other team in Stockholm 💛🖤,'' Obasi posted on Instagram.
TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, Schalke 04, Lyn Oslo and Shenzhen FC are the other clubs Obasi has represented since he left the shores of this country.
Obasi and his childhood pal Obi Mikel have represented Nigeria at the U17 and U20 World Cups, Olympic Games and World Cup.
