Victor Moses Proud To Win Nigerian Federation Player Of The Year After Banner Year
Published: February 24, 2018
On the eve of Chelsea's trip to Manchester United in the Premier League, Victor Moses has once again expressed his joy at winning the Nigeria Player of the Year award at a gala held in Lagos on 19 February 2018.
The 27-year-old saw off competition from Leicester City's Wilfred Ndidi and Lobi Stars African Nations Championship star Anthony Okpotu to win the prestigious accolade.
2017 was a banner year for Moses, he played admirably in his new position at right wing-back as Chelsea won the Premier League title and was unarguably Nigeria's most important player during the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
The former Crystal Palace and Wigan man has told everyone that his family was delighted that he received the Nigeria Player of the Year prize.
''Proud to win the NFF Player of the Year award for 2018. A real honour for me and my family 🙏🏿 #Nigeria,'' tweeted Victor Moses.
Moses has stepped up his game in the last one month or so with two goals scored in the Premier League, and he showed off his defensive qualities as Chelsea were held to a 1-1 draw by Barcelona on Tuesday.
