Chelsea Loanee Ola Aina Named In Championship Team Of The Week
Published: February 26, 2018
Chelsea loanee Ola Aina has been recognized for his impressive display for Hull City in their 1-0 victory over Sheffield United in the latest round of matches played in the EFL Championship.
Whoscored has selected the eleven best performers for match day 34 and the Super Eagles defender was included.
In a traditional 4-4-2 formation, Aina was deployed at right-back and partnered Webster (Ipswich), Cooper (Millwall) and Friend (Middlesbrough) in defense.
Against Sheffield United, the former England U19 skipper started at right-back for only the third time in his last eight matches in the Championship and and was part of the defense that frustrated Leon Clarke and Billy Sharp, who have netted a combined 25 league goals, from scoring.
Aina had the most tackles and interceptions for Hull City, six in total, three more than the next players in that department Jackson Irvine and Evandro, who finished the game with three.
The 21-year-old was awarded 8.2 marks in the ratings.
