Manchester United Target Gives Condition To Remain At Chelsea
Published: March 09, 2018
Brazil international David Luiz will remain at Chelsea next season if manager Antonio Conte departs the Stamford Bridge outfit at the end of the 2017-18 season, according to reports.
According to Goal.com, David Luiz believes his Chelsea future is brighter if Antonio Conte leaves the club in the summer, with the Italian manager widely expected to depart.
The last time the defender played for Chelsea was in their 4-1 loss to Watford in the Premier League on February 5, and he has not been involved in 29 matches in all competitions this term due to injury and loss of form.
While Luiz has reportedly fallen out with Conte, the leadership of the Blues consider him an important member of the first team.
The former PSG and Benfica star was linked with a transfer to Manchester United in the January transfer window.
United manager Jose Mourinho coached Luiz at Chelsea before the defender transferred to PSG in 2014.
