In the last round of the regular season, Oostende lost 3-2 to Uche Agbo's Standard Liege at Versluys Arena (Oostende), with out-of-favour Nigeria international striker Joseph Akpala directly involved in both goals scored by the home team.

Still in the Norwegian top-flight, Super Eagles midfielder Afeez Aremu closed the scoring in the first minute of stoppage time in IK Start's 4-1 rout of visiting Tromso on his competitive debut for the
Kristiansand club.

Remaining in Scandinavia, Ostersunds FK posted a 1-0 win over Gais in the Cup thanks to ex-Flying Eagles star Alhaji Gero's 86th minute winner.

Finally, Eze Vincent Okeuhie scored Vojvodina's second goal in their 3-0 win at Mladost Lucani in the Serbia Super Liga. He wrote his name on the score-sheet in the 66th minute.
