Moses Flaunts His Aerial Ability & First Champions League Goal Before Trip To Barcelona
Published: March 13, 2018
Nigeria Player of the Year Victor Moses has picked his goal in Chelsea's 3-2 win against Shakhtar Donetsk on November 7, 2012 as one of his favourite UEFA Champions League moments.
The tie at Stamford Bridge was heading for a draw but the Super Eagles star had other ideas, heading home a corner kick from Juan Mata in the fourth minute of second-half stoppage time after he was ignored by the Ukrainian team's defense.
Though Moses did not tell his story in a chronological order as the scoreboard read 2-2 before he entered into the fray with ten minutes left on the clock, the Blues number fifteen says it's one of the best moments of his professional career.
In a video Moses posted on social media , he stated : ''We were losing 2-1 and I came on, then we scored and I scored a dying minute goal, when I came on I think it was ten minutes left.
“As soon as the cross came in I was at the right place at the right time. I headed the ball in. It was great for me and it was great for the club as well.
''I call it one of the best moments I have ever experienced in football.''
Moses and his Chelsea teammates are expected to train on English soil this morning before their trip to Barcelona.
