Ex-Chelsea Transfer Guru Emenalo Eyes Move For Arsenal's Most Promising Teen
Published: March 13, 2018
Former Chelsea transfer guru Michael Emenalo has set his sights on the English market ahead of the reopening of the transfer window, as per reports.
London Evening Standard claims Real Madrid and Monaco are contemplating making a move for Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson, who is widely regarded as the most promising teenager in the ranks of the Emirates outfit.
Retired Nigeria international Emenalo has a strong voice in the recruitment of players at Monaco and had authorized the club's acquisition of the 16-year-old Pietro Pellegri from Genoa in the January transfer window for £22 million.
Whilst at Chelsea, the talent spotter convinced talented teenagers Tomáš Kalas, Kenneth Omeruo, Charly Musonda, Nathan and Danilo Pantić among others to join the Stamford Bridge outfit ahead of their other suitors, and would be hoping to beat Real Madrid to the signature of Nelson.
The 18-year-old Reiss Nelson joined Arsenal in 2007 and has appeared in 14 first-team games, including eight matches in the Europa League, since he debuted for the Gunners.
Emenalo resigned from his position as Chelsea's technical director in November 2017 before he took over a similar role at Monaco.
