Ejaria, Abraham, Solanke Among Ten Players Of Nigerian Descent Called Up By EnglandFormer Golden Eaglets trainee Ovie Ejaria has received his first-ever call-up to England U21s national team ahead of their matches with Romania (March 24) and Ukraine (March 27) this month.

The central midfielder had been overlooked for selection for the U21s since he helped the Young Lions win the Fifa U20 World Cup in South Korea last summer.

Joining Ejaria in Aidy Boothroyd's squad are five players of Nigerian decent in the shape of Fikayo Tomori (Chelsea), Dominic Solanke (Liverpool), Josh Onomah (Tottenham Hotspur), Ademola Lookman (Everton) and Tammy Abraham (Chelsea).

With Abraham named in the U21 squad, it means he is definitely not in the Three Lions team for this month's games against the Netherlands and Italy.

The Nigeria Football Federation target has not found the net in the Premier League since he made his senior debut for England last November, so was logically snubbed by Gareth Southgate.

England U20 head coach  Keith Downing has picked Fulham midfielder Tayo Edun and Manchester City striker Lukas Nmecha in a 19-man squad for games against Poland and Portugal.

Ten players eligible to represent the Nigerian national teams were named in the Young Lions rosters on Thursday.
