Mikel, Ndidi, Yahaya, Ekong, Semi Ajayi, Onazi & Ighalo Picked In Nigerian Team Of The WeekAllnigeriasoccer.com picks the most outstanding eleven Nigerian players this past week, based on their performances for their respective clubs.

Here's our 4-4-2 formation :

Goalkeeper - Daniel Akpeyi (Chippa United) : He would be hoping to replicate his Chippa United form with the national team when they trade tackles with Poland this coming Friday. Akpeyi posted his eighth shutout in the South African topflight against Free State Stars.

Right-Back - Musa Yahaya (Porto)  : The former Tottenham trainee impressed as Porto II destroyed Sporting Covilhã 3-0, and scored in the 59th minute to cap off a fine performance.

Central Defender - Semi Ajayi (Rotherham United) : The former Arsenal U21 captain is one of Nigeria's most outstanding talents playing for a club outside the topflight, if not the best, this season. He helped the goalkeeper to post a shutout in Rotherham's 3-0 win at Northampton Town.

Offensively, his stats are even more eye-popping, with 6 goals in all competitions.

Central Defender - William Troost-Ekong (Bursaspor) : Troost-Ekong returned to Bursaspor's starting line-up and was solid at center back vs Sivasspor. The European schooled defender had a team-high passing accuracy of 87.8 and won three aerial duels.

Left-Back - Adedeji Oshilaja (AFC Wimbledon) : Another defensive-minded player with offensive qualities. His goal against Rochdale this past weekend means he has now been directly involved in seven goals this season.

Central Midfielder - Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City) : Ndidi won an individual battle against N'Golo Kante despite Leicester City outfoxed by Chelsea in the FA Cup on Sunday. Made a game-high ten tackles against the Premier League champs.

Central Midfielder - Eddy Onazi (Trabzonspor) : He put in a mature performance against Y. Malatyaspor  and his goal in the closing minutes was just the icing on the cake.

Central Midfielder - John Ogu (Hapoel Beer Sheva) : Netted his second league goal of the season against Bnei Yehuda, which was enough for his team to claim all three points.

Attacking Midfielder - Obi Mikel (Tianjin Teda)
: The Super Eagles captain notched his first career pair of assists for a club in the Tianjin derby. He's a midfielder with excellent vision.

Support Striker - Korede Adedoyin (Everton) : Scoring four goals in a single game at any level deserves commendation, the Toffees starlet achieved this feat against Newcastle United U18. Pay attention to this kid.

Top Striker - Odion Ighalo (Changchun Yatai) : Announced he's back in form by scoring a crucial equalizer against Beijing Renhe. Now he has to worry about his 15-hour flight to Poland for the Super Eagles get-together.
