Chelsea Proud Of Victor Moses: He Came Closest To Scoring For Nigeria First-HalfEnglish Premier League champions Chelsea monitored the pre-World Cup friendly between Poland and Nigeria in Wrocław Friday night, with three players in their ranks Victor Moses, Kenneth Omeruo and Ola Aina named in the Super Eagles squad list.

The Blues highlighted the fact that their number fifteen had the best goal-scoring chance to give the visitors the lead in the opening 45 minutes before breaking the deadlock around the hour mark.

''Two World Cup teams, Poland and Nigeria, met in Wroclaw with Moses a starter for the Super Eagles,''
Chelsea stated via their official webpage.

''He went as close as anyone in green to scoring in the first half with a free-kick that flew a whisker wide.

''Robert Lewandowski had earlier hit the bar for the hosts but it was Nigeria, through Moses, who broke the deadlock on the hour.

''The 27-year-old was brought down inside the box and picked himself up to convert the subsequent penalty.''

Moses went the distance against the Polish opponents, Omeruo was introduced
for the final quarter-of-an-hour, while Ola Aina was a non-playing substitute.
