Serbia Stars : Nigeria Have A Lot Of Talented Players, It Won't Be Easy
Published: March 26, 2018
Anderlecht's Serbia international defender Ivan Obradović has noted that
the Super Eagles have several talented players in their ranks and it
will be difficult to overcome the African powerhouse in tomorrow's
friendly at the Hive Stadium.
The 29-year-old, who played the last twelve minutes of Serbia's 2-1 loss to Morocco in Turin on Friday, pointed out that Nigeria are a strong team as they beat two-time world champions Argentina in a friendly last November.
''In November, the Nigerians beat Argentina. They are a physically dominant team with a lot of talented players and it will not be easy,'' Obradovic was quoted as saying by Blic Sport.
''It is clear that this will be another good test and opportunity to see at what level we are.
''Of course, we will use the opportunity to work on some things. I have no dilemma that these two matches are good tests.''
PAOK striker Aleksandar Prijović echoed the statements of Obradovic, saying the Nigerians are a physical side but it's important for Serbia to win after losing to Morocco.
He said : ''Nigeria is a national team that deserves a respect, its players are physically strong and the next match will definitely be a good test for us. We will do everything to win, we will give the maximum to score better than in the previous match.
''The outcome of such matches is not primary, because it is important to correct some things. It is important for us to win.''
