Serbia Coach Satisfied With Win: We Dominated Nigeria From First Minute
Published: March 28, 2018
Serbia National Team coach Mladen
Krstajic was satisfied with his side's 2-0 win over Nigeria in an
international friendly staged at the Hive Stadium on Tuesday night,
saying that they controlled the game from the blast of the whistle.
Newcastle United loanee Aleksandar Mitrovic bagged a second half brace to condemn the Super Eagles to their first loss in a friendly since the appointment of Gernot Rohr as coach.
''I would like to congratulate the players on the win and the performance they have achieved, access, engagement, responsibility and discipline in the game,'' Krstajić told reporers.
''From the first minute we had a concentration, controlling the events on the field, the victory could have been more convincing, but it's important how we worked. because of the results against Morocco, but this match has shown that part of the public has a bit rushed with criticism.
''Then when it's difficult, the guys showed character, just confirming that the national team is a great atmosphere. Let's go ahead, an important job is ahead of us''.
Nigeria's next three friendlies before their trip to Russia for the mundial are against Democratic Republic of Congo (May 28), England (June 2) and Czech Republic (June 5).
