PSV Join Manchester United, Chelsea In Race For Spurs Nigerian Prodigy
Published: March 30, 2018
Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven are exploring ways to sign Nigerian wonderkid Nonso Madueke, as per reports.
According to Algameen Dagblad, PSV have a lot of interest in the 16-year-old Madueke, a midfielder of Tottenham Hotspur with Nigerian roots.
It was reported earlier this week that Manchester United and Chelsea were interested in the signature of the talented teenager, who has also been watched by Manchester City and Leicester City.
But PSV are hoping to convince him that he can play professional football if he joins the club, rather than remain in England.
Madueke has not represented Tottenham Hotspur's U18 team this season in competitive matches, fueling speculation of an imminent exit from the London team.
Nigerian-born duo Rabiu Ibrahim and Bobby Adekanye as well as Funso Ojo have turned out for PSV Eindhoven teams in the past.
