Wilfred Ndidi Joins Victor Moses As Nigeria's Most Valuable Player
Published: April 01, 2018
Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has joined Chelsea star Victor Moses as Nigeria's most valuable player ahead of the 2018 World Cup.
According to our colleagues at transfermarkt.com, the Foxes number 25 is valued at €18 million, meaning it will cost interested clubs that amount before he is acquired from the Premier League club.
It has also been recommended that Moses should be bought for €18 million and the transfer fee could increase for both Premier League stars if they perform well at the tournament in Russia.
Kelechi Iheanacho became the most expensive Nigerian player in history when he joined Leicester City last summer for a fee of 27.7 million euros, but not taking into account performance related add-ons.
The Foxes number eight surpassed the record previously held by former Watford star Odion Ighalo, who joined Changchun Yatai for €23.3m in January 2017.
Iheanacho is now joint third on the list of Nigeria's most valuable players with a market value of €15m, same as Ahmed Musa,
Akwa United striker Gabriel Okechukwu (€0.1m) and goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa (€0.05m) were the least valuable players named to the Super Eagles roster for the March friendlies.
