Celta Vigo Linked With Move For Huddersfield Town Nigerian MidfielderHuddersfield Town's Denmark U21 international of Nigerian descent Philip Billing is attracting interest from Spanish outfit Celta Vigo ahead of the opening of the summer transfer, according to reports.

Onda Deportiva Galicia Sur says the sporting director of Celta Vigo, Felipe Miñambres, is interested in signing the central midfielder.

The 21-year-old Billing has 18 first-team games under his belt for the Terriers this season, having recovered from an ankle injury that kept him on the sidelines for three months, from November 2017 to January 2018.

He penned a contract extension in August 2017, tying him to Huddersfield Town until June 2020, with the club having an option on a further year’s extension.

Billing joined Huddersfield Town from Esbjerg in 2013 following a successful trial and rose through the ranks before making his competitive debut against Leicester City in April 2014.

He has played four games for Denmark's U21 side and remains eligible to represent the Super Eagles.
