Official: Grebbestad IF Bring In Ex-Kwara Football Academy Striker Abdultaofik
Published: April 12, 2018
Swedish Division One club Grebbestad IF have finally announced the signing of former Kwara Football Academy striker Ahmed Abdultaofik.
The 25-year-old has been training with the club since January but his transfer was not confirmed until now because his work permit was being processed.
''It feels wonderful. I have not been able to play football as a professional for a long time now and at last I'm back. It has taken a long time to get everything clear but at last we are there. I am very happy,'' Abdultaofik told Grebbestad IF's official website.
This weekend, Grebbestad IF are at Torns in the second round of matches in the division and their brand new Nigerian striker says he's ready to make his competitive debut if called upon.
''Yes I hope so. But competition is tough and no one can be sure of his place. One can not believe that one should play each match but one must fight for it. Everybody has to fight for a place which is good. But I hope for a starting spot,'' he said.
