Published: April 12, 2018
Finnish Veikkausliiga side Palloseura Kemi Kings have pulled off a transfer coup by signing Aliyu Abubakar.
The central defender joins PS Kemi on a season-long loan with an option to buy inserted into the agreement.
''We agreed a one year loan with buy option. Aliyu Abubakar has already passed his medical and will fly to Finland this night,'' Polish agent Roman Skorupa from PiSK Sports Agency, who represents the player, informed allnigeriasoccer.com.
''Before he was in Dila Gori FC in Georgia, he will play with the number six jersey.''
Abubakar has the experience of playing in the Finnish topflight, with 25 appearances to his name while wearing the jersey of Kuopion Palloseura during the 2016 season.
The fast and physical center back was a member of the Golden Eaglets squad that clinched the 2013 Fifa U17 World Cup and started all their games in the knockout rounds.
He earned a move to Israeli outfit Ashdod after the tournament in the United Arab Emirates.
