QPR Should Do Everything To Keep Osayi-Samuel, Says Coach
Published: April 13, 2018
Queens Park Rangers manager Ian Holloway has advised the club to do everything to keep Nigerian winger Bright Osayi-Samuel, noting that The’ R’s will be stronger in future if their top young talents are retained.
Osayi-Samuel made his first start in the Championship in 2018 in QPR's 4-2 win over Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday and impressed the manager with his performance.
''We saw the likes of Bright Osayi-Samuel and Paul Smyth really perform in attack on Tuesday night. If we can keep those boys in the future, how good could we be?'' said Holloway to qpr.co.uk.
''We’ve got a real glut of fantastic young players coming through, who I’ve got to manage properly.
''I can’t put them all in at the same time, because they haven’t got enough experience yet – and if I play a youngster three times in eight days, he isn’t going to be able to last.''
Nigerian teenagers Aramide Oteh and Eberechi Eze have played 5 and 13 games respectively for the first team of Queens Park Rangers this season in the second-tier, while ex-Balckpool wonderkid Osayi-Samuel has appeared in 15 matches.
