ADO Den Haag Coach Hints Ebuehi Will Return To Starting XI Vs Twente
Published: April 13, 2018
Speaking to reporters at Friday's press conference ahead of tomorrow's Eredivisie clash against Twente, ADO Den Haag coach Alfons Groenendijk has hinted that Tyronne Ebuehi will return to the starting eleven.
The Nigeria international was not available for selection in his team's 3-3 draw vs FC Utrecht last weekend as a result of a groin injury but Groenendijk is looking forward to seeing him in action, having returned to training.
Ebuehi started and logged ninety minutes when both teams faced off in the first half of the season at De Grolsch Veste.
Alfons Groenendijk has urged Ebuehi and his teammates to raise their game as Twente are fighting to avoid relegation and expected to play like a wounded animal.
''I expect a wounded predator tomorrow. FC Twente will fight and go for the last chance to stay in it,'' Groenendijk said.
''We are prepared for it, we know what lies ahead. We must give Twente the feeling that there is nothing to be gained in The Hague.''
Dutch-born Ebuehi made his full debut for the Super Eagles in their 2-0 loss to Serbia in a pre-World Cup friendly held at the Hive Stadium on March 27, 2018.
