Super Eagles Strikers Unlikely To Pledge Future To Malaga Following RelegationSpanish club Malaga have been officially relegated from the La Liga after a 1-0 defeat to Levante in their league topflight meeting on Thursday evening.

The temporary signing of Nigerian duo, Brown Ideye and Issac Success have failed to reap the dividends after Emmanuel Boating's stoppage time effort yesterday evening ensured the Andalusian club would be competing in the Segunda Liga next season.

Malaga engaged themselves the services of two Nigerian internationals during the winter transfer window, Brown Ideye who joined from Chinese Super League side, Tianjin Teda and his compatriot, Isaac Success from English Premier League's Watford in a bid to boost their attack and re-galvanize their floundering season.

Ideye who was in action for 83 minutes yesterday scored a solitary goal for the club in nine appearances, the goal coming in a 2-1 defeat to Valencia while Success who was missing from play yesterday have yet to find the net after six outings.

The defeat at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia left Malaga rock-bottom of the division on 17 points, well adrift of Levante who are the first team outside of the drop zones with 34 points, and so can no longer catch up.

Ideye and Success are well expected to return to their parent clubs after the end of the season.
