Official : Ex-Man City Nigerian Defender To Leave QPR At End Of The SeasonQueen Park Rangers captain Nedum Onuoha will cut ties with the club when his contract expires this summer.

The 31-year-old, who spent a large bulk of his time with English Premier side Manchester City, has confirmed he would leave for pastures new this summer which is shaping up to be a very busy one for the London club.

The Warri-born defender has made over 223 appearances for Rangers in all competitions, since joining them in the winter of 2012 while also popping up with eight goals for the team.

"I want to thank everyone for making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived," Onuoha told the official website of Queens Park Rangers.

"When I do leave it will feel very different as I've spent half of my career here but nothing lasts forever."

Eberechi Eze, Aramide Oteh and Bright Osayi-Samuel are the other players of Nigerian descent on the books of Rangers.
