Alex Iwobi Joins Growing List Of Injured Super Eagles Players, Suffers Hamstring ProblemAlex Iwobi has joined the growing list of injured Super Eagles players, with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirming post-match that the winger suffered a hamstring problem in their 2-1 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday evening.

As everyone saw, the Hale End Academy product played through the pain barrier against the Red Devils, but could not be substituted because Wenger had used all of his three substitutes.

Ahead of the trip to the Spanish capital on Wednesday for the Europa League semifinal second leg against Atlético de Madrid, the Frenchman is also sweating on the fitness of David Ospina and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

''Mkhitatryan I took off because he had a little knock on his knee again, the same thing, just looking at him in the dressing room,''
Wenger told reporters.

''Ospina has a rib problem and Alex Iwobi has a hamstring problem.

''We’ll see how everyone recovers because Thursday will come around very quickly.''

Wenger added that Arsenal will continue monitoring Iwobi in the next forty eight hours, and by Tuesday he will know whether or not to name the winger to the roster for the trip to Spain.

The 21-year-old has appeared in 36 games in all competitions this season for the Gunners, scoring 2 goals and providing 7 assists.
